About the Role 
The supervisor role will lead a team consisting of heavy equipment mechanics and quality assurance representatives in working with our military counterparts. The supervisor will act as a liaison between the customer and GDLS personnel.

 Responsibilities to Anticipate for this role 
  • Supervisor the daily schedule, manpower requirements, and cost to meet financial goals.   
  • Ensure Manager is aware of critical issues and able to make appropriate strategic decisions based on information supplied.   
  • Provide Abrams maintenance related technical guidance and formal/informal instruction to team and customer as needed, required or requested.   
  • Provide input to program planning, schedules, and maintenance techniques for the Abrams family of tanks and other tracked/wheeled vehicles as required.   
  • Actively engage in promoting a workplace free from environmental health and safety related hazards including the training and ensuring proper use of personal protective equipment.   
  • Coordinates with Management as required.   
 
 
Qualifications Sought   
  • Bachelor's degree required.  3-5 years of supervisory experience may be considered in lieu of bachelor's degree. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills, excellent communication and supervisor skills.   
  • Familiarity with the Abrams family of Ground Combat Vehicles and have a minimum of 5 years. Abrams maintenance and troubleshooting experience.   
  • Certified Abrams Field Service Representative preferred.   
  • Must have knowledge of US Military rank structure and organization.   
  • Must be willing to work effectively in a team-oriented structure to include field, office and shop environments both on and off military installations.   
  • Must meet ASR guidelines for Abrams Driver Station entry as described in Standard Practice 2-644 entry into enclosed military vehicles.   
  • Must have a valid driver's license and able to obtain a tank driver’s license   
  • Able to travel globally for extended periods of time to support customer requirements and successfully meet pre-deployment requirements.   
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Passport, VISA or other country requirements due to the position is overseas.   
Additional Information / Desired Experience 
  • This position may require eligibility to obtain a US security clearance. (Non-US Citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance) 
  • Familiarity with military standards and test requirements desired. 
  • Must be able to work occasional evening and/or weekend overtime as required
