Job Description

About the Role

  • Candidate should possess a hands-on IT technical background as well as an in-depth understanding of manufacturing execution applications and business processes.
  • Intimate knowledge of Computer Aided Process Planning and Manufacturing Execution Systems.
  • General knowledge of ERP/MRP Systems.
  • Knowledge of Quality Information System (QIS) and manufacturing quality process.
  • Familiarity with PLM/PDM systems such as Teamcenter or Windchill.
  • Familiarity with enterprise reporting tools such as OBIEE or COGNOS.
  • Ability to analyze and diagnose the root cause of bugs or issues with software systems. This goes beyond simply documenting trouble tickets.
  • Ability to solution a work-around and permanent technical solutions to address bugs and new business cases.
  • Write and understand queries written in Structured Query Language (SQL).
  • Familiarity with Oracle RDBMS.
  • Maintain and develop J2ee applications that support manufacturing operations.
  • Ability to understand and author solutions using Java, SQL, JSP, MVC and others.
  • Familiarity with enterprise reporting tools such as OBIEE or COGNOS.
  • General Understanding of our plant capabilities.
  • The ability to support required Audits including Customer DCMA / DCAA and Internal ISO and corporate audits.
  • Support proposal development on Manufacturing related IT solutions.
  • Support manufacturing and divisional process improvement initiatives.

Qualifications Sought

  • Undergraduate degree in Engineering/ IT related fields (or equivalent) is required; additional graduate-level degree a plus.
  • Thrive in a flexible and ever-changing manufacturing environment supporting a variety of products and process.
  • Ability to function in a team-based environment.
  • Comfortable briefing complex topics to high-level audiences, including top Leadership at GD Land Systems.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to work independently in a self-motivated environment.
  • Capable of frequent interfaces with all functional organizations and suppliers.
  • Established skills in technical leadership, project execution and conflict management with proven competency in effective problem solving and decision making.
  • Looking for candidate to be a subject matter expert and business process supporter of manufacturing execution and operation sheet creation using Solumina software.
